Understanding Why Jesus Came. 1 John 4:7-17. For the love of God: Jesus comes into the world. You cannot give eternity a name. God could have expressed Himself as a Google-inity. God intentionally limits Himself in the explanation of the Trinity to give finite humanity a handhold in understanding the eternal. Scripture gives us a minimum of 31 reasons why Jesus came to earth.
Matthew 22:14. This is a parable meant to show contrast and teach, but perhaps not to call us towards absolutes. The scene is a wedding feast for a king’s son. Servants are sent to do the work of invitation. Evangelism or Christ telling is the art of invitation.
Everything is Meaningless. Ecclesiastes 1:1-11 – If Solomon was the world’s most successful person, then why would he write Ecclesiastes, a book filled with discontentment? Enough is never enough. What brings meaning is not what you have or what you have done, but the values that lie as the foundation of both.
The Giant is in front of us. What do we do? Learn how David responds to Goliath. What lessons does this teach us for our own dealings with our own giants. Will we put our giant to death or let it linger…
Israel’s response to threats was to do nothing, but David, a man after God’s own hart, responded differently as well as translating Goliath’s taunts with a different Spirit led decoder. David was faced with adversity from both sides of the conflict; Join Pastor Adam as he explores how David’s response provides us insights for dealing with our daily and extraordinary challenges in a God driven way.
In an age of living for the next mountaintop, what would it look like if we put down the goals and began living for our values. Perhaps value living will lead us to exceeding any goal we might ever have the courage to set.

David’s Dominion – 1 Samuel 17:45-47 – Dominion: David never slayed a giant on his own. We are a people called to live in Dominion. There is a distinct difference between Dominion and control. It is God’s desire to establish you beyond the margins of your ability to control.
The Anointed Servant – 1 Samuel 16:14-23 – Now the Spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him. Cultivating God’s Spirit in your life: Like oil and water, God’s Spirit and an evil spirit cannot occupy the same space. The Spirit of God drives away evil. Whatever spirit you choose to be in agreement with will take dominion over your life.
